Limited editions by Ave (that’s me 👍) I made this tomato and strawberry planter
Hi readers ! Unfortunately my timing is isn’t to good I had of hoped when I re started my writing Covid would of been a memory but that’s definitely not the case and with the world looking to change I created a community venture Limited editions by Ave (that’s me 👍)
This started in the early summer I had finished the garden to a standard and then Limited editions by Ave (that’s me 👍) started by sheer accident, my wife put my work on Facebook and my work orders went through the roof !

Limited editions by Ave (that’s me 👍) Is a Brighton community venture (due to location ) where I source wood from places that hopefully donate off cuts and give away spare or reclaimed wood.. I then get busy just like a normal working day either creating new ideas or creating peoples pieces to spec.

If your wondering why this isn’t a bulldog collecting edition to the blog archive it’s because I have not bought anything in ages ! The uk left the EU the USA is up and down for trade tariffs and I’m not the kind of person to ever buy a piece from China there’s just to much mis trust and if I’m honest it’s a country that hates refunding even when in the wrong.

Limited editions by Ave (that’s me 👍) My very first piece
After a failed attempt at ending my life in 2013 I was given the full psychiatric VIP treatment and part of my recovery was to join a work shop also called limited editions! this was a safe place for people with mental health issues to learn new skills, this was not to push me back into work but to give me positivity and maybe a reason for living when I felt all else has failed.
At this amazing place (I didn’t think at time ) I learned wood working and metal skillsets and I’m really glad I did, who would of known I will of needed these skillsets 7 long years later , I started softly there and by the time it was shut down in 2016 due to austerity I know how to do joints make tables chairs and other pieces of bespoke furniture sometimes a one off sometimes a limited edition.
These skills are now used in back garden where I have a work station under a gazebo and with a shed to keep my best wood dry, some days I’m out there wondering what to make and other days I get orders coming in for my work.
I’ve always been honest and open and if I think someone could get what they want cheaper I do mention this but it seems my work at Limited editions by Ave (that’s me 👍) has intrigues others and orders have come through most of the summer mainly for planters but other objects too like composters stalls boxes cold frames etc etc.

We started out with no one but myself and it’s still very much that way I’ve tried connecting with local businesses to ask for unwanted things and only one person responded with off cuts Alec woodland a local carpentry joiner

His off cuts are of a decent quality and I was even asked what kind was needed too, the day I picked them up was a surprise I had gotten a lift of a very nice lady called Geraldine and after about two turns in the car we were there so it’s nice to have a source close to home !
All other businesses you’d expect to help local ventures shunned me even on social media covers brewers Wickes all these local companies said a big fat no to any help or support in our community venture a shame really because I could of given them some positive advertising.

I Will not bitch and moan you can’t get blood from a stone as they say and I don’t have any help regarding writing to business for help I’m not sure if I come across a certain way due to my autism and doing all this myself can be weighted on the shoulders of just myself but if that’s the way it’s meant to be then so be it.

Nice to have Bosch watching over the shoulder
It has been a struggle with Bosch at first ! It started out with my wife buying me a nano tool which kept breaking so Bosch were kind enough to send out a replacement ! and let me keep the nano. The only issue is now I’m using a right handed saw that was sent and I’m left handed.
A private project I’m working on
To most your thinking what’s the issue ! Well when your paying good money for wood draw your line go to cut and see you cannot follow line it really mucks up the cut, the way I’m using the saw is dangerous but it will have to do till again I can afford a power tool.
It’s not all doom and gloom though Bosch have been following my page Facebook page. Your welcome to join wether out of pity a genuine interest or maybe because it’s I asked I’m not sure but the lady from Bosch is her own person she’s very lovely when we speak and is a true professional at her vocation I just wished they shared us as much as I advertise for them but that’s just wishful thinking and I’ve not made anything WOW to share.
Bosch uk 🇬🇧  Can be found on most formats just like Youtube here I share a few of their posts and being honest moan about that frigging saw on a bad day, I don’t think my venture would lose anything by big business not showing an interest but it is nice saying so
